Quality Child Care

View of the Child: Children are competent, capable of complex thinking, curious, and rich in potential.

During our first years of life, the brain develops at an astounding rate. Scientists now know this process is not just genetic but is dramatically influenced by our early experiences with people and our surroundings.

Quality Childcare is Important to Every Family.

We provide a safe, caring and nurturing environment for toddler, pre-school, junior and senior kindergarten, and school aged children. All programs are professionally led by Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECE’s), and our facility is licensed annually by the Ministry of Education.

Fee subsidies are available from the County of Wellington for those who qualify. For more information please check out their web page.

Monthly receipts are provided for income tax purposes. Annual tax receipts are available upon request.

How to Register

A brief family questionnaire done over the phone or though email is the first step. Once a space has been confirmed in our program for your child, we will require a full registration package to be completed by the family. During this process, office administration will walk you through the registration and answer any questions you may have along the way.

For more information about our Childcare Programs or to register, please call 5198-843-6632 or email: childcare@communityresourcecentre.org

Waiting Lists

On occasion when space is not immediately available, a wait list is in place for families. The following factors are used when drawing children from the waiting list.

  • Full time permanent request for current clients
  • Full time permanent requests for new clients
  • Part time permanent requests for current clients (before and after school programs only)
  • Part time requests for new clients (before and after school programs only)
  • Age of the child and duration of care needed

Parents are welcome to call the childcare centre and speak to the Supervisor to discuss their standing on the wait list.

Note: We will advise you when you are at the top of the waiting list for your choice of child care so that you can begin to make preparations or advise us that you no longer require child care.

Ask us about child development

If you have concerns regarding your child’s development, child care staff will monitor and implement strategies that can be used in both the childcare program environment and the home environment. We are also able to arrange virtual consultations between our staff and support services for additional strategies and resources.

Safety Protocols

During the COVID-19 pandemic, all of our Child Care programs follow along the guidelines released through Ministry of Education as well as  Wellington-Dufferin Guelph Public Health. There is an increase of deep cleaning and disinfecting while also promoting physical distancing within the program. For more information regarding our COVID policies put in place, please contact our office at 519-843-6632 or childcare@communityresourcecentre.org
